Shock statement: David Duchovny treats for “sexual addiction”

David Duchovny said Thursday, through an official statement gave to publicity by his lawyer, Stanton Stein, that he got interned in a clinic for treating his sex addiction. Actor requested press to respect his family privacy.

In sexual addiction, the patient is involving unwillingly in sexual activities, trying to stop this behavior ends with a frustration and discomfort feeling. The person enters this way under an incontrollable repetition of same behavior going towards affecting his professional and familial way of living.

Duchovny, aging 48 years old, earned his celebrity with role of FBI agent Fox Mulder from TV series “X-Files”. Already on cinematographs we can watch “The X Files: I Want to Believe”, movie which continues the story of Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Mulder (Duchovny). David is married since 1997 with actress Tea Leoni, mother of a 9 years old daughter and a son of 6 years old.
