Dark Kinght – records after records

The Dark Knight, last sequel from Batman series, directed by Christopher Nolan that had it’s scene entering on 14 july in New York, establishes it’s first first record after being launched in US cinema, starting with middle of 19 july (friday). Movie got returns of 18,5 millions of dollars for the apparition in midnight, as Variety says, making this way a new record for it’s broadcast hour. Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith held previous record, with 16,9 millions from midnight projections, when it was launched in 2005.

The Dark Knight appeared on 4366 locations in United States, exceeding Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End production, which appeared on 4362 screens.

People from Warner bros announced that 18,5 cashing doesn’t include projections from 3 a.m and 6 a.m .

First part -Batman Begins- was launched in 15 june 2005 and draw in it’s first day 15,1 millions of dollars. Spider-Man 3 hold until a some hours before the record at cashing for an entire day of playing in Box Office history: 58,9 millions of dollars, but The Dark Knight continued it’s record series and surpassed Spider-Man, with cashing between 60 and 63 billions of dollars. All that remains now is like The Dark Knight break a record held too by Spider-Man 3: biggest cashing for a weekend that didn’t include any legal feast.
