7 Summer Movies – Dark Knight, Zohan, Mio fratello è figlio unico, The Mummy, Mamma mia!, Center of the Earth, Wall-E
There is not a lot more until vacation finishes and we fished from cinema halls program the best (from various reasons) seven movies that you must see until September. From cracked comedy of Adam Sandler to dark “The Dark Knight”, the seven ones cover almost every genre, so for this it is impossible like the list below doesn’t attract you in a way or another.
“The Dark Kinght”: It’s already launched but it depends on the geographic area and practically it doesn’t need more presentation. Batman’s new CV includes a lot of records and especially a happy tandem: movie captivated the public, but captivated too the critics, a lot of movie critics making their way to cinematographs to see the movie for third time. We asked ourselves a few days later if The Dark Knight does have chances to break Titanic record for biggest history cashing.
Zohan is another movie that reached the big screens, we can’t mess with it because
us the people from www.moviesalert.com aren’t affected by Adam Sandler’s tricks. But Sandler is one of the most appreciated comics of Hollywood, and “Don’t mess with the Zohan “ scenery was worked by famous Judd Apatow, what we can expect of this? Well I can say that we will probably see another box office success. Moreover, the uncomfortable subject of movie invites us to think about jokes, because Sandler is Zohan, a secret izraelian agent, that frames it’s own death and runs to New York for fulfilling an old dream, to become … hair stylist. Can the hands of Zohan cut the hair of people, especially of the old women? You can see more in movie’s trailer and after that on big screen.
After a thriller and a comedy, Mio fratello e figlio unico, the only Italian movie of this period is a drama with comic accents that touched our heart. Elio Germano (see him we say that he’s the best European actor of it’s generation) is Accio, youngest child of a simple family from Italian city Latina. In 1960 year, Accio seeks with desperation to believe in something and, after God disappoints him, he chooses one of the two ideology for that period: the fascism. With his brother which looks a very good, beautiful Manrico, attracted by communism, provokes between them a funny rivalry, much more intense with the coming in Latina of elegant Francesca, of which both of them fall in love. On background of famous melody (Ma che freddo fa of Nadia will obsess you long after movie finishes), Mio fratello doesn’t have to scary you with it’s apparent political subject: it’s the movie of growing up and the movie of a fight with the biggest heart and fastest pulsations you will see this year at cinema.
Accio will fight, close to Brendan Frase, with Jet Li in Mummy 3. Emperor’s dragon tomb continues the adventure series of Rick O’Connell archaeologist, the one that doesn’t feels in it’s place until he wakes up a sort of repulsive creatures. This time Rick travels into exotic China, where he disturbs from eternal sleep the cruel Qin emperor, “asleep” with his invincible army, by the spells of famous Michelle Yoh. Li, Yeoh, yes it’s clear, sparks will erupt because at some time they fight together, and about those sequences it’s said that will make history. All we have to do is now wait until 7 august…
If gentleman preferred Batman, ladies let Christian Bale and Heath Ledger to fight and preferred a more feminist scandal: Mamma mia! Musical, with Meryl Streep as main character, became Sunday the musical with biggest cashing of all time in it’s starting weekend. Meryl Streep sings and dances on ABBA songs, but the story has too a sleuth aura: the biggest wish of young Sophie (Amanda Seyfriend), in her day of wedding, is like her father to be there for “giving” to her husband. Unfortunately, Sophie has not the little clue who is her father, until she finds her mother’s journal, Donna (Streep), from where she understands that only three men were with Donna 20 years before. Three invitations later for the wedding, masculine trio starts a lot of problems on small greek island where Sophie lives and we can bet that Pierce Brosnan does what he does this movie for being elected by gay community in Great Britain as the sexiest actor that passed 50 years.
Adventure movie Journey to the Center of the Earh has a familiar story whoever passed famous Joules Verne novel, that begins in a cave from Ireland and yes, it finishes in the center of Earth. No, not Brendan Fraser is the reason for including this movie on “must see”, the fact is that Journey will be a 3D projected movie. Entering cinema you will have a pair of bicolor glasses and when the dinosaur (yes there is something like this in the center of the Earth) will make a big mouth to eat Fraser, impression that you can touch his neck will be unforgettable. There is nothing more usual than Journey, but technical context compensates, and experience of a 3D projection becomes necessary. “Journey to the Center of the Earth” it’s rolling already on cinematograph from 11 July as stated here

Wall-E is the last proof that summer of 2008 may be one of the most interesting of this millennium beginning. Pixar animation made sensation all over the world, and Wall-E robot adventure, last one that remained active on Terra abandoned by human race, made heart of the audience a lot softer and made serious controversy concerning legitimacy of giving Oscar for the best movie to an animation. What does Wall-E and how escapes from Earh we will see in September.
