Because of a misunderstanding between Sony Pictures and the stage director Sam Raimi, the production of the fourth movie of Spider-Man franchise was cancelled.

It seems that Raimi would like to have as antagonist the infamous Vulture. The original story of the third part should have Sandman as a cell colleague for Vulture, but, after the common escape of the two’s, Vulture forced Sandman to commit murders. The studio didn’t accept the idea and wants to put on screen the famous Venom, this way the Vulture idea had a very short way into the trash basket because of the pressures made by Marvel. We all know which was the ending of these debates.

Here we see producers trying again to convince Raimi to bring into  the movie scene a villain with more public attraction than unfortunate Vulture.

But all these can be considered rumors on a theme, because, officially, the production of Spider-Man 4 got stopped for the simple reasons that winter celebrations are on the way. Another words, there aren’t reasons for us to worry for Spidey’s destiny.

Seven bulls escaped from the filming stage of the Knight & Day production, which has as protagonists Tom Cruies and Cameron Diaz, in Cadiz, south-west of Spain.

Two women were injured, according to Associated Press agency, quoted by yahoo.movies.com.

Cruies and Diaz weren’t this Sunday on the filming stage, at rehearsals, barely this week they will arrive in Spain. The movie director, Jose Luis Escolar, stated to reporters that he doesn’t know how the seven bulls got out in town’s streets.

The famous actor Anthony Jopkins is a big fan of the british actress Emily Blunt, according to Femalefirst.co.uk. Hopkins compares Blunt with Jodie Foster, winner of two Oscar awards.

The veteran plays with Blunt in the fantasy movie called The Wolf Man which will arrive into cinematographs in 2010.

Hopkins was delighted by Blunt, known from The Devil Wears Prada, telling that it is his best collaboration with an actress since Silence of the Lambs, from 1991, when he had as a partner Jodie Foster.

“Wonderfull. One of the best actresses with which I collaborated. For me Emily Blunt and Jodie Foster exist”, stated the actor.

Hopkins, 71 years old, hopes that the young actress remains as she is now and she will not be a prey for celebrity.

Sometimes we can find days in which we can say that hope still exists for Hollywood. Even if initially the remake for The Crow was possible, today I bring in front of you that stage director Alex Proyas doesn’t want to make a remake.

After an interview with Alex Proyas which is promoting now his new film Knowing, Digitalspy.com announces that Proyas is against a remake for The Crow.

Alex Proyas stated: “I have nothing to do with The Crow remake. Another persons are occupied with something like this and not even in my biggest nightmare I didn’t want to make a remake. Concerning me I consider that The Crow is Brandon Lee’s movie. For this reason we finished the movie. It is a movie in Brandon’s memory. So this idea of a remake is ridiculous and I don’t want to hear of something like this, as continuations or TV series didn’t interest me.”

This decision is a smart one and worthy of applauses for Proyas, who seems he doesn’t want to be a part of the recycling current of Hollywood. The Crow character appertains to Brandon Lee, as Joker will be Heath Ledger’s.

So, after he made a joke that he would candidate for the place of president for the “free” state Texas, which actually isn’t free anymore, he left aside his jokes and decided he wants to convince everybody that Texas deserves to be separated from USA and become Independent Texas Republic, because it was never a part of USA (as he claims), and that he deserves to be president.

Kevin Spacey walks on tracks of the legendary Arthur Miller or Robert Redform, he is going to be honoured with the prize from his contribution in arts “America’s National Peel Award”. Winner of an Oscar award was laureate for National Peel Award for Special Realisations in the Arts domain, carrying the name of the ex senator of United States, Clainborne Pell. The organization that offered prizes says that Spacey was elected for the dedication he showed in his roles from movies and theatre but also for his charity work. Miller and Redford are previous winners of distinction. Spacey will receive his prize during an award ceremony organized in Newport, Rhode Island in June 2009.

Cate Blanchett will interpret the role of Lady Marianne in the “Nottingham” movie of Ridely Scott. Actress will play with Russel Crowe, after Sienna Miller left this project in January, announces Femalefirst.co.uk. “Cate Blanchett is very good to play the role of Lady Marianne. She is a wonderful actress and she will put her mark over the movie”, declared Mark Strong which is part of the movie distribution.

Russell Crowe acts a double role, being Robin Hood and the negative character too, the sheriff of Nottingham. The movie’s story is based on the love triangle made by the two heroes and Lady Marianne.

Filming is programmed to start next month.

Brad Pitt will play in the movie “Moneyball” which presents the story of Billy Beane, the general director of the baseball club Oakland Athletics. The movie will be directed by Steven Soderbergh and produced by Columbia Pictures Studios, according to variety.com.

The movie is inspired from the novel “Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game”, written by Michael Lewis. The novel presents the destiny of Billy Beane, general director of the baseball club, Oakland Athletics, which uses a complicated system of analysis on computer to make a team and qualify for World Series.

Pitt also collaborated with Soderbergh at all movies from “Ocean’s” series. The actor became interested of the “Moneyball” project since 2008, after Steve Zaillian accepted to write the scenario.

Executive producers will be Michael De Luca and Rachel Horovitz.

Meryl Streep and Kate Winslet are this year between the grand favourites for attending Oscar award for the best feminine acting. Critics say that 2009 will be the year of Kate Winslet. She didn’t receive any Oscar although she was designated to receive one for five times.

At the best actress category, we can find nominated: Anne Hathaway (“Rachel Getting Married”), Angelina Jolie (“Changeling”), Melissa Leo (“Frozen River”), Meryl Streep (“Doubt”), Kate Winslet (“The Reader”).

Until now, Winslet got two Golden Globes for her acting in “The Reader” and “Revolutionary Road”.

Meryl Streep won the prize for the best actress at the gale of Screen Actors Guild (SAG), for the role in “Doubt”.

In the month of January, all tabloids called Mickey Rourke, Crimson Dynamo, the new villain in Iron Man 2.

In a recent interview given to MTV, on the stage filming of Sherlock Holmes, Robert Downey Kr. declared that Mickey Rourke will not play the role of Dynamo, the russian alter-ego of Tony Stark, a massive villain with lots of tattoos, which makes illegal things with weapons and which fights Iron Man in its own suit alimented with nuclear energy.

“It is totally false. Sadly I can’t deny or confirm this” stated Downey Jr., which added “I could tell you a few things about the story but we are still working at it and at the ending, so it will not pass so much time until you will find.”

With all those things, Robert Downey Jr. didn’t comment anything about Sam Rockwell, and negotiations in which he can be found for another negative role.

Filming for Iron Man 2 will start during this year, having its launch close to 7 May, 2010.
