Now that she assumed the revelation, the actress is decided to quit television in order to play exclusively in theater. Friel confessed that her own reaction at the role of Breakfast shocked.

“When my agent asked me what do I want to do further, I said I want to play more in theater. I never thought before of saying a thing like this, but I love it. It is shocking for me to find out that there are so many alternatives. Each interpretation is another one… this is theater’s charm ”, concluded Friel.

Up in the Air promises to bring many awards

The ones from National Board of Review considered that Up in the Air is the best movie of this year. The movie won this prize during this festival considered unofficially the first of the big events that will come. So, the fact that a movie opens the season with a big trophy says a lot about the future.

George Clooney was nominated the Best Actor, and Anna Kendrick the Best Actress in secondary role. But the acting prize was split by Clooney and Morgan Freeman, of which impressive interpretation on Nelson Mandela, from Clint Eastowood’s movie, Invictus, produced a big hit.

At The Best Director category Eastwood himself is the first, Carry Mulligan went home with the prize for The Best Actress, with her role in An Education, and Woody Harrelson won the award for Best Actor in secondary role, with his interpretation in The Messenger.

A new movie with Jack Ryan

During a press conference organized for promoting the latest movie of Clint Eastwood, Invictus, the producer Mace Neufeld revealed some details about a the next movie with the famous character Jack Ryan which will be interpreted by Chris Pine. It seems that the project, still without a name, woun’t be based on a Tom Clancy’s text, it will have a full original scenario.

Jack Ryan was the main character in movies like The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger and The Sum of All Fears, movie which tried to bring back to life “Tom Clancy” franchise by distributing to a younger actor the main role. Neaufeld confessed that although the new movie will march the idea of a younger character, it isn’t a story of character’s origins.

“We meet on Wall Street. Jack Ryan’s movies have never been action movies. They were more like intellectual thrillers. Jack is famous for his ability of jumping straight to conclusions. It is an important element in all Jack Ryan’s movies, and this is how we want to present it. It is an historian. And a linguist. And it is very clever.” declared Neufeld.

A first version of the script was written by Hossein Amini, and Adam Cozad was asked to rewrite it.

Overcrowding at box-office this weekend

This weekend took place premieres of no less than four movies, but the box-office’s scene is still dominated by four other movies with a huge flow of money, we are talking about New Moon, The Blind Side, A Christmas Carol and 2012. More than that, the new four comers will have to face the appreciated Up in the Air, which will have a limited premiere. The movie of Jason Reitman adjudicated this week the award of the Best Movie, granted by National Board of Review so, we can understand the enthusiasm of people which wait to be launched.

The biggest chances for being a success in the box-office has the movie of Jim Sheridan, Brothers, with Jake Gyllenhaal, Natalie Portman and Tobey Maguire in main roles. With lesser chances we see Everybody’s Fine comedy with Drew Barrymore and Robert De Niro, action movie Armored, with Matt Dillon, Laurence Fishbourne and Jean Reno in main roles, and the Trasylmania parody.

The last two movies haven’t been watched by critics, so no verdicts concerning them were launched.

Hugh Laurie has a blue eye

It seems that the star of House M.D has a black and blue eye from a punch that was applied during a boxing round. The round was friendly, because Hugh Laurie practices this sport of her own pleasure, but the punch wasn’t very friendly, so our actor feels terribly that punch over his face.

Laurie stated that between two shots of filming she was practicing some rounds of boxing. This is happening in Los Angeles, where she occupies of the doctors tv serial.

According to “Daily Mail”, the actor got punched into his face at the beginning of this week, and not even now he did recover completely.

But Laurie is, as we all know him, funny of this matter: “I hit a door… I wasn’t hit by an owl.”

Daniel Radcliffe – ill during the filming

It seems that filming for the new Harry Potter are so intense and rough that Daniel Radcliffe got ill for good.

The actor was at this moment occupied with the last chapter of the young wizards, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which will be split into two parts because of the novel’s complexity  and because of the director’s impossibility to merge everything into just one movie.

The movie’s epic story “forces” Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson to film in many extreme conditions. It seems like Radcliffe went ill.

“I am filming everyday. I stood into a mud slop, surrounded by dust and smoke. I irritated my neck and got cold.” Told Radcliffe for the  “Sky News”.

Ving Rhames got sued

Here we see an actor that has problems with the government of United States for his bills. Ving Rhames was sued because he owns the state something like 500 000$.

The star of Pulp Fiction messed with the wrong guys. Famous IRS (Internal Revenue Services) decided they won’t wait any longer, and opened a trial at a Los Angeles court, for the amount of 491 588$.

According to TMZ.com, Rhames didn’t do his duty as a citizen in 2007. Now it is the time for him to support the consequences.

This way we have another Hollywood star that doesn’t like to pay bills.

Goldie Hawn is proud of her daughter

Goldie Hawn crossed the filming stage of the Nine musical, and she was impressed of dancer abilities of her daughter, Kate Hudson, that she merely contained herself not to cry in front of everybody.

We understand better the Hawn’s emotional reaction if we have to remember that she began her entertainment career as a dancer.

“I always sing and dance. My mother thinks that if you want to do this the professional way, all you have to do is rise and try.”, stated Hudson, which plays in Rob Marshall’s movie with Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman and Judi Dench.

“She came on filming stage because she felt very well. I believe she got excited because she started her career as a dancer. It was a great thing for her to see me dancing, with a lot of other dancers around. I think she remembered of her youth.” concluded the actress.
