At some point there were discussions over a biographical movie about Barak Obama, the president of United States of America having Will Smith as main character. But until then, it seems that Obama’s mother is a more important subject for Hollywood’s directors.

It seems that the American public is a lot more interested of Obama’s family history, and therefore Schroeder-Ptacek Productions will realize a documentary that tells the story of Barak Obama’s mother.

The documentary will be directed by Charles Burnett and it has filming planned for the beginning of next year, in locations as Hawaii, Washington and even Indonesia.

For Charles Burnett this isn’t his first project that has connection with the life of a president, he is the one who directed Namibia: The Struggle for Liberation, the story of Sam Nujoma, first president of Namibia.

Nicolas Cage has a new occupation: signing contracts one after other. Cage is at this point one of the busiest actors from Hollywood.

Hollywood Reporter announces that Nicolas Cage will act in a new thriller called Hungry Rabbit Jumps, movie that will be directed by Roger Donaldson. Hungry Rabbit Jumps will be produced by Tobey Maguire’s company, Maguire Entertainment and Endgame.

Movie’s script was written by Robert Tannen, and tells the story of a man which wife is victim of a brutal murder. Following this, the man starts searching for the criminal, joining an organization that works out of the law rules.

Filming is planned to begin in January, New Orleans.

Nicolas Cage who just finished filming for The Sorcerer’s Apprentice comes back to film Hungry Rabbit Jumps in New Orleans, where he filmed Bad Lieutenant, after which he will join Drive Angry 3D production, that has filming planned for April.

Final Destination 4 3D is one of those movie that has some real luck and for the second week they are in first place of the box office. Not because it is a special or revolutionary horror, it is because the other “competitors” don’t attract too many spectators in cinema halls. But it seems that the “death” provokes victims at box office, and three new other launches of this week are dead.

This way, Final Destination 3D got returns of 12.4 millions of dollars this weekend, having a total of 47.5 millions of dollars.

On the second place this week is situated the comedy with Sandra Bullock, Bradley Cooper and Thomas Haden Church, All About Steve, movie that got returns of 11.2 millions of dollars.

Inglorious Bastards directed by Quention Tarantino, got 10.8 millions of dollars, having a total of 91 millions of dollars.

The other two movies that got launched this week are “Gamer” with Gerard Butler in the main role, film that received 9 millions of dollars and “Extract”, a comedy that got only 4.2 millions of dollars.

The famous actor Anthony Jopkins is a big fan of the british actress Emily Blunt, according to Femalefirst.co.uk. Hopkins compares Blunt with Jodie Foster, winner of two Oscar awards.

The veteran plays with Blunt in the fantasy movie called The Wolf Man which will arrive into cinematographs in 2010.

Hopkins was delighted by Blunt, known from The Devil Wears Prada, telling that it is his best collaboration with an actress since Silence of the Lambs, from 1991, when he had as a partner Jodie Foster.

“Wonderfull. One of the best actresses with which I collaborated. For me Emily Blunt and Jodie Foster exist”, stated the actor.

Hopkins, 71 years old, hopes that the young actress remains as she is now and she will not be a prey for celebrity.

Although nobody was expecting a third movie from the cops and transvestites, it seems that a scenarist for this movie has already been found. We are talking about Randi Mayem Singer, which wrote Mrs. Doubtfire (yes, it seems that Singer likes the men of middle age which dress into over weighted women, well done, Randi!). For the moment we don’t have any details about the plot, but we can be certain that we are talking about a cop who dresses into a woman for solving a case. Until now, the other two movies from the series got 300 millions, so it is a normal thing that a 3^rd one to appear. Lets just hope it will be a little more reasonable than the previous two.
