Sometimes we can find days in which we can say that hope still exists for Hollywood. Even if initially the remake for The Crow was possible, today I bring in front of you that stage director Alex Proyas doesn’t want to make a remake.

After an interview with Alex Proyas which is promoting now his new film Knowing, Digitalspy.com announces that Proyas is against a remake for The Crow.

Alex Proyas stated: “I have nothing to do with The Crow remake. Another persons are occupied with something like this and not even in my biggest nightmare I didn’t want to make a remake. Concerning me I consider that The Crow is Brandon Lee’s movie. For this reason we finished the movie. It is a movie in Brandon’s memory. So this idea of a remake is ridiculous and I don’t want to hear of something like this, as continuations or TV series didn’t interest me.”

This decision is a smart one and worthy of applauses for Proyas, who seems he doesn’t want to be a part of the recycling current of Hollywood. The Crow character appertains to Brandon Lee, as Joker will be Heath Ledger’s.

Little Fockers is a movie which waits anxiously to arrive on screens. Pre-production of movie has already started and seems it has found a stage director at last.

Jay Roach, stage director of the two movies was meant to direct the 3^rd part too, but he quit in favour of Dinner for Schmuncks, movie appertaining to DreamWorks. In exchange he will be included as producer for Little Fuckers.

According to Variety, stage director Peter Segal (Get Smart) was chosen to direct Little Fockers, the 3^rd part of the successful series Meet the Parents, a movie which is produces by Universal Pictures in collaboration with Tribeca Productions.

Even if Peter Segal was hired to start his work with Get Smart 2 in this year, the filming was cancelled in the moment when Steve Carell choose to play with Tina Fey in the comedy directed by Shawn Levy Date Night for Fox, thing which leaves a lot of free time to Segal, time in which he will take care of Little Fockers.

Scenery will be made by John Hamburg, which will start from a story written by Larry Stuckey. Universal enters full production with movie at the end of this year.

Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro and Owen Wilson are in negotiations for roles in the movie, movie which will definitely have as main attraction children of Ben Stiller and Teri Polo.

Dennis Quaid was chosen to play the 42 USA president, Bill Clinton, in the new movie called Special Relationship. Close to him we will find the talented actress Julianne Moore, which will act as first lady Hillary Clinton. Some rumors say that for the president role was a fight between Russell Crowe, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Alec Baldwin and Tim Robbins.

Special Relationship show the drama story between relationships of Tony Blair, prime minister of Great Britain, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. Action takes place in the period in which Clinton had his amorous escape with Monica Lewinsky. This will be presented from official archive videos.

The movie ends the political trilogy written by Peter Morgan, formed of The Deal – about Tony Blair’s ascension to power, and The Queen, which presents the reactions of english Royal Family after the death of Princess Diana. Michael Sheen, the one who interpreted the ex-British prime minister in the two movies until now takes his role again. This movie is also the directing debut for Peter Morgan.

Special Relationship is made in collaboration with BBC and starts filming in July, at London and Washington.

If you haven’t heard yet of Chris Pine, no worry, you will hear very soon: after Star Trek, in which the young actor played captain Kirk, Pine has all chances to play the main role in Green Lantern, one of the most expected movies with superheroes. Lationreview says that Pine is in the head the of the list with possible interprets for the superhero with green suit, Pine seems to have received an offer from Warner studios. And it will be a good thing if the actor decides himself fast, because movie production should start in September and its premiere should be at the end of the next year, as producers from Warner intend. We must say that Green Lantern is one member of Justice League of America, another project which enters and parts for a while production studios. “Born” in 1959, Hal Jordan is one of the most controversial (and interesting) brothers of Batman, father of character being the maker of comic books DC Comics.

The movie will be directed by Martin Campbell (Casino Royale), while the scenery, about which we don’t know a thing, is written by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green, known for Smallville, Heroes or Eli Sone. How will those use the ring of Green Lantern, which grants the carrier powers over the physical world? We will see starting with 17 December 2009.

Joel and Ehan Coen will direct a remake of the True Grit western, the 1969 movie which bought John Wayne his only Oscar of his career. British newspaper Daily Mail, which talked with the two stage directors, says that their new project isn’t actually a remake .. it is a remade, because the brothers actually want to make justice to the novel carrying the same name of Charles Portis, about an old girl which tells her life story. When she was only 14, she gone from her family’s farm to avenge the murder of her father. “The book says the story of the girl”, stated Joel Coen for Daily Mail. “In he movie with John Wayne she is interpreted by an older actress. We want someone of her age in the novel – it is her story!” said Joel Coen. This moment there isn’t any scenario for the film, so at least a few years will pass until the project will be produced. In the present the brothers are working at A Serious Man for Focus Features, with American premiere programmed for October, and their next movie is The Yiddish Policeman’s Union, a movie inspired by famous novel of Michael Chabon.

Kevin Spacey walks on tracks of the legendary Arthur Miller or Robert Redform, he is going to be honoured with the prize from his contribution in arts “America’s National Peel Award”. Winner of an Oscar award was laureate for National Peel Award for Special Realisations in the Arts domain, carrying the name of the ex senator of United States, Clainborne Pell. The organization that offered prizes says that Spacey was elected for the dedication he showed in his roles from movies and theatre but also for his charity work. Warner Bros. company bought “Inception”, a script written by Christopher Nolan, for an amount of money with seven zeros. The stage director has to make this movie for Warner until the summer of 2010. Filming for the new movie will begin this summer. Warner Bros. representatives told about this project that is a scientific-fantastic story, with a story placed inside the mind.

Talking about the 3^rd Batman, it seems it will arrive in cinema halls somewhere in 2011. Warner Bros. hopes to convince Nolan to direct the new movie of this successful series.

“The Dark Knight” got returns of almost 1 milliard of dollars in entire world and received 8 nominations for the Oscar Awards.

Cate Blanchett will interpret the role of Lady Marianne in the “Nottingham” movie of Ridely Scott. Actress will play with Russel Crowe, after Sienna Miller left this project in January, announces Femalefirst.co.uk. “Cate Blanchett is very good to play the role of Lady Marianne. She is a wonderful actress and she will put her mark over the movie”, declared Mark Strong which is part of the movie distribution.

Russell Crowe acts a double role, being Robin Hood and the negative character too, the sheriff of Nottingham. The movie’s story is based on the love triangle made by the two heroes and Lady Marianne.

Filming is programmed to start next month.

Once with his role in “The Wrestler”, the American actor, Mickey Rourke came back into Hollywood’s producer attention. He will act as a paid to kill assassin in “St. Vincent”, directed by Walter Hill, announces Variety. The movie is produced by Keith Calder, Joe Neaurauter and Felipe Marino, for Occupant Films and Dena Hysell and Joe Gressis, for Secret Handshake Entertainment.

“St. Vincent” presents the story of an assassin which returns in his ex neighbourhood from New York in which he lived to kill an informer. The assassin needs to disguise into a priest and this way he finds out the informers confesion,

Rourke si Hill collaborated at “Johnny Handsome”, back in 1989.

Shootings for “St. Vincent” are programmed to begin this year, but for the moment the starting date isn’t known exactly.
